审稿人的意思是？

审稿人提出“It should be noted that positive/negative connections always denote the connections with positive/negative Pearson correlation coefficients, which are different from those show increased/decreased in one group compared to another group”.可是我通篇描述FC的时候都是用的“positive/negative”,所以不理解审稿人的意思，求各位老师指教，谢谢~！
