Octave and REST

hi,
I'm new to this topic and would be interested if there is any effort to port REST to octave

This is not a recent goal, we keep octave (or python) in a long-term route map.

hi and thank you for your answer. another possibility would be compiling it for the MATLAB compiler runtime (which is free) as standalone for those, who dont have a MATLAB license (like me ). Do you think this is possible.
For SPM there is such a standalone package avaliable and as I was informed that they are planning to create a package with several toolboxes.

This actually has been placed as a recent goal.

We hope we can generate the standalone version of REST in next next release. :)
