Hi, I just finished running a functional connectivity analysis using the REST toolbox. I am looking at the FC between 2 regions so I entered those as ROIs and chose ROI-wise analysis.
The output is a series of txt files and I am wondering what exactly the numbers in the txt files represent? I am guessing that:
- FCMap_*.txt is the Pearson's correlation between the time course of the two selected ROIs?
- ROI_FCMap_*.txt is the Pearson's correlation between the time course of each ROI and other voxels in the brain (not sure which)?
- zFCMap_*.txt is a z-transformed Pearson's correlation between the time course of the two selected ROIs?
Thanks for any help!

Re: ROI-wise Functional Connectivity in REST
Dear experts of rest toolkit
I would like to perform a ROI FC analysis between 2 ROI
i have followed the instructions as described in the manual.
i received 4 values in the text file FCMap_subject_01.txt
as follows
1.0000000000000000e+000 7.9840100547770776e-001
7.9840100547770787e-001 1.0000000000000000e+000
what are these values what is the exact correlation cofficient between these 2 ROI
thank you in advance
Regards
Rakesh
